Tampa Bay Rays in 6 over the Philadelphia Phillies

This 2008 World Series will be a good one. The Philadelphia Phillies have the big bats in Ryan Howard, Chase Utley and Pat Burrell, guys who can change the game with one swing. NLCS hero Shane Victorino and Jayson Werth are strong bats, too. But, after those top 5, the Phillies lineup is pretty mediocre.

The Rays' lineup is not overpowering, but everyone can beat you with the bat, even the #9 hitter Jason Bartlett.

The Young staff of Kazmir, Shields, Garza, and Sonnanstine wil pitch very effectively and Maddon will use his bullpen's lefty specialists (Trevor Miller, JP Howell and David Price) to neutralize Ryan Howard all series - my aptly named Kent Hrbek effect.

My feeling is the Phillies win both of Cole Hamels' starts, but drop the other four contests. Tampa Bay Rays in 6 games over the Philadelphia Phillies.
